System Description
DC101 - MS00 is a 500 lbs state of the art antisubmarine depth charge, designed to be effective to double hull submarines and maximise the abort mission and target kill probability. DC101 - MS500 can be carried by any kind of platform equipped with standard pylons for 500 lbs class bombs: no electrical interface with the aircraft is required. The in-air trajectory of the DC101 - MS500 is stabilized by a dedicated parachute, that allows the correct impact angle and velocity. The Depth Charge is equipped with a state of the art active sonar that enables explosion at the minimum distance from the target (optimum firing point). If a target is not acquired, the DC101-MS500 explodesat a preset depth or as soon as reaches the sea bottom. |
